Quick cross-currency math is one of those small chores everyone runs into: pricing a trip, checking a quote from an overseas seller, or converting a salary figure a friend just mentioned. Currency Converter by Wise handles that on Android, along with the company’s actual money transfer business. We built Rate Loop, a free currency converter that runs right here in your browser: type an amount and watch it convert across ten major currencies at once. No install, no signup.
Convert currencies now
Type an amount, pick the currency it is in, and every other currency updates instantly below it.
How to use it
Type any amount in the box and choose which of the ten currencies it represents. The headline swaps instantly, the full list underneath updates for every currency, and the bar chart shows how differently the same value looks once you change the units it is counted in. The plus and minus buttons nudge the amount by 10 if you would rather tap than type.
Your last amount and currency are saved on your device, nothing leaves your browser, so the converter picks up where you left off next time. The rates behind it are a fixed reference table, not a live feed: we state that plainly right under the result, and it is worth repeating here. This tool is for quick estimates, not for locking in a transfer.
How it compares to Currency Converter by Wise
We should be upfront about the gap. Rate Loop does one job: turn a number in one currency into ten others, instantly, with no live data connection. Currency Converter by Wise does that too, but it pulls real-time mid-market rates and sits inside a full money transfer app. From the same screen you can open an account, verify your identity, and actually send money abroad at the rate it just showed you, often cheaper than a bank.
What we kept is the part most people search for when they just need a fast number: type an amount, see it converted, done. What we deliberately left out is everything that makes the real app useful for an actual transfer: no live market rates, since ours are a static table we update by hand; no way to move money, since this is a browser tab with no bank connection; and no account, verification, or recipient details, since none of that belongs in a tool with zero external requests.
Use Rate Loop when you want a rough number in the next ten seconds. Use the real app when the number needs to be accurate to the minute, or when you are actually sending money somewhere.

Currency Converter by Wise is free on Android and shows live mid-market exchange rates with no markup, the same rates Wise uses for real transfers. It doubles as the entry point into Wise’s international account and transfer service.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a live exchange rate?
No. Rate Loop uses a fixed reference table we set by hand and update occasionally, not a live market feed. It makes zero network requests, so it cannot pull current rates even if it wanted to. For rates that move with the market, check Currency Converter by Wise or your bank.
Can I use this to send money?
No. Rate Loop only does the arithmetic. It has no account system, no bank connection, and no way to move money anywhere. For an actual international transfer, use Currency Converter by Wise or another licensed money transfer service.
Is this the official Wise app?
No. Rate Loop is an original tool we built, inspired by the currency converter inside Currency Converter by Wise. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Wise (formerly TransferWise) in any way.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no signup, no download, and no usage limit. The page runs entirely in your browser once it loads, and your last amount and currency are stored locally on your device so they are there when you come back.
How many currencies does it cover?
Ten: US dollar, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, Indian rupee, Brazilian real, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Chinese yuan, and Mexican peso. Pick any one of them as your source currency and see it converted into the other nine at once.
