Little Lives, a free browser life sim inspired by The Sims Mobile

The Sims Mobile has hooked millions of players on a simple itch: watch a little person’s needs bars, keep them happy, and decorate their space. The catch is energy timers, loading screens, and a login wall before you see any of it. We built a small browser version of that same loop, called Little Lives. No install, no account, no waiting for a room to load. Open the tab and your Sim is already standing in a furnished house, needs ticking down, waiting for you to do something about it.

How to play

Four bars sit in the top-left corner: hunger, energy, fun, and social. They drain slowly on their own, so there’s no panic, just a gentle nudge to keep moving. Click the fridge, bed, radio, or sofa (or tap them on a phone) and your Sim walks over and starts the matching action on its own. On desktop, drag anywhere on the scene to look around, use WASD to walk manually, and press E to interact once you’re close to something. On mobile, the joystick in the corner moves your Sim and tapping any object sends them straight there.

Every day brings a new guest with one request, shown in the card on the right. Satisfy it for a coin bonus and a streak counter that keeps track of how many days in a row you’ve shown up. Coins earned from interactions can be spent in the shop (tap the shelf) on a rug, a plant, or a second lamp for the room. Everything, including your best mood score and the room’s furniture, saves on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to The Sims Mobile

Little Lives keeps the part of The Sims Mobile that actually keeps people opening the app: a small character with needs you manage in real time, one house to putter around in, and a light reason to check back tomorrow. The daily guest request mirrors the game’s social-task loop, and the need bars decay and refill the same way, just without a stopwatch attached to every action.

What we left out is everything that turns a five-minute mobile game into a live-service product. There’s no career ladder, no relationship trees, no aging or generations, and no energy meter gating how often you can act. We didn’t build premium currency, seasonal events, or the store full of paid outfits and furniture packs. There’s no visiting other players’ houses and no multiplayer at all. Build mode here is three items in a shop, not a catalog with hundreds of pieces to unlock and place.

That trade-off is the whole point. If you want a five-minute reset with no strings attached, Little Lives does the job for free. If you want the deeper version, the actual careers, relationships, build mode, and a much bigger world to decorate, The Sims Mobile is worth installing, and it’s worth reading our roundup of Sims alternatives too if the energy timers are what’s bothering you.

Bottom line: Little Lives is a free five-minute stand-in for a quiet moment. The Sims Mobile is the game to install once you want careers, relationships, and a house worth spending real time on.

FAQ

Can I play The Sims Mobile in a browser?

Not the official game. Electronic Arts requires the Android or iOS app. Little Lives is our own browser-based game inspired by its core loop of managing a Sim's needs, built so you can try that feeling instantly without installing anything.

Is Little Lives the real Sims Mobile?

No. Little Lives is an original game built by the Unstore team and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Electronic Arts in any way. It borrows the general idea of a needs-based life sim, not any assets, code, or content from The Sims Mobile.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once the page has loaded once, the game runs entirely in your browser with no ongoing internet connection needed. Your coins, unlocked furniture, and best mood score are saved locally on your device.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no signup, no ads, and no in-app purchases. Everything in the shop is earned by playing.

Why does my Sim's request change every day?

The daily guest and their request are generated from the date, so everyone playing on a given day sees the same guest. It resets at midnight and gives you a reason to check back and keep a streak going.
